About

Careers at Haryes

We hire people in Nairobi who would rather hand-code a fast site than assemble a slow one, who read the brief, and who finish the QA checklist every time. No open roles are listed right now, send a note anyway if that sounds like you.

How we work

These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the rules every project is measured against, including the ones nobody would notice if we skipped them.

  • A performance budget on every project. It is not negotiable, and it is checked before launch.
  • Named ownership of every page and every article. Nothing ships anonymously.
  • The pre-publish QA gate, applied to everything, including our own homepage.
  • British spelling, one form of the brand name, one address and phone number, everywhere.

What we look for

Years of experience matter less than these four. We would rather teach a framework than teach care.

  • Craft

You can explain why a page is slow and fix it, rather than installing a plugin that claims to.

  • Ownership

You take a task to done, including the unglamorous last ten per cent nobody thanks you for.

  • Plain language

You can tell a client what happened without hiding behind vocabulary. Every role here talks to clients.

  • Honesty about limits

You say when something will not work, or when you do not know yet. That is worth more than confidence.

How to apply

There is no form and no application portal. Three steps, and a real reply either way.

  1. Send work, not a template

Email mmboheharyes@gmail.com with two or three things you built and a line on what you did on each.

  2. We reply

Within a week, including when the answer is no. Silence is not an answer we use.

  3. A conversation

A call about how you work and what you want to get better at. No whiteboard puzzles, no unpaid sample projects.
