Case studies with client names and real numbers

Real, named, verifiable proof is one of the few things a competitor cannot copy quickly. Haryes Web Developers is a new agency: this page is honestly empty right now rather than filled with invented success stories. Every case study we publish will name the client and report real results, once that client has signed off on both.

Why proof is the hard part

Any agency can describe a good process. Far fewer can point to named clients and say “here is what we built, here is what it changed, and you can ask them yourself”. Most agency portfolios in Kenya are screenshots with no client name, no numbers, and no way to check any of it.

The reason real proof is rare is that it is genuinely difficult to assemble. A client has to agree to be named. They have to agree to share figures that are often commercially sensitive. Those conversations take time, and they cannot be rushed. As a new agency we would rather this page started empty and filled in with real, checkable case studies over the coming months than open with a wall of invented success stories.

What a Haryes case study contains

When a case study replaces a placeholder here, it follows the same structure every time.

  1. The client, named

The business, its sector and its city, unless the client has asked to be described without a name.

  2. The problem

What was not working, in concrete terms, with the state of the old site or process.

  3. What we did

The actual scope: the pages, the features, the integrations, the migration, the timeline.

  4. The results

Measured against the goal agreed at the start, with real figures the client has approved.

  5. Technical evidence

Core Web Vitals, load time on a mid-tier Android device, Lighthouse scores, all checkable with a free tool.

The kinds of projects we take on

Each case study is tagged by service, sector and city so you can find work relevant to your own situation.

  • By type

Our work spans the full range of services: marketing websites and custom WordPress builds, online stores with M-Pesa checkout, SEO engagements that build organic visibility over months, and custom web applications, client portals, booking systems, internal dashboards, and M-Pesa platforms.

  • By sector

The work concentrates where a website carries the most commercial weight: real estate, schools, SACCOs, hotels, law firms and professional services.

  • By location

Most projects are in Nairobi and the surrounding counties, with a growing share on the coast.

How we handle client confidentiality

Every client decides how their project is represented publicly. That choice sits with the client and has no bearing on the price or the standard of the work.

Named, with full figures

Some clients are happy to be named with full figures.

Sector and city only

Some prefer to be described by sector and city (“a Nairobi law firm”, “a Diani beach hotel”) with figures but no name.

Nothing published

Some prefer nothing published at all, and that is equally fine.

Judging the work for yourself

Two parts of our work are independently verifiable without any case study at all. Both are claims we make constantly, and both are things you can check.

Why proof compounds

A single case study is useful. A library of them, built steadily over years and covering different sectors, cities and project types, is something a new competitor cannot assemble quickly no matter how good they are.

Approvals collected properly, not rushed

Each real project we can point to makes the next sale slightly easier, and that advantage grows rather than fades. It is one of the reasons we are patient about collecting approvals properly rather than rushing a thin case study online.

The same logic applies to our research. Original studies of the Kenyan digital market give prospective clients (and journalists, and other agencies) a reason to reference us, and each study adds to a body of work that is genuinely hard to replicate.

Working with us before the case studies are published

You do not have to wait for this page to fill up.

  • Ahead of a proposal we can talk you through the projects most relevant to yours (what the brief was, what we built, how it performed) even where those projects are not yet formal published case studies.
  • Where a client is willing, we can arrange a direct reference call.
  • The technical standard is constant regardless of which project you look at: the performance budget, the ownership model and the process do not vary from one client to the next.

Proof in an agency relationship

The reason proof matters so much in this market is that the buyer usually cannot judge the work directly until it is too late.

A website looks finished on launch day whether or not the code is sound, whether or not it will hold up under a Google update, whether or not the business actually owns it. The problems surface months later.

What we ask of clients who agree to a case study

When a project has gone well and the client is open to it being written up, the process is deliberately light. The relationship matters more than the marketing asset.

  1. We draft it

The case study is written by us, not by the client.

  2. You review it

Shared with the client for review before anything else happens.

  3. We change it

Anything the client is not comfortable with: a figure, a phrasing, the level of detail about their internal situation.

  4. You sign off

Nothing is published until the client has signed off the exact wording.

  5. You can withdraw

If at any point they change their mind, the case study comes down.

What to look at while this page fills up

In the meantime, the rest of this site is itself a piece of evidence. It is built to the same standard we sell.

None of that is a substitute for a named case study with verified results, and we are not pretending it is. But it is a reasonable way to judge whether we are worth a conversation while the formal proof is being assembled.

Proof questions

Why isn't there a case study on this page yet?

Haryes is a new agency. A case study only goes live once a real project is complete and the client has approved both being named and the figures being published, so this page fills in honestly as that happens rather than opening with invented results.

Can you show me work you've done before I commit?

As a new agency we are building our published portfolio from the ground up. Contact us and tell us what you are planning; we will speak plainly about our approach and experience so you can judge us on that conversation.

Do you publish results even when a project underperformed?

A case study reports what actually happened, including where a result was slower or smaller than hoped and why. We do not cherry-pick only the wins; a portfolio of nothing but triumphs is not credible and is not useful to a prospective client.

What kind of numbers do your case studies report?

Whatever the client agreed to share and whatever was the real point of the project: enquiry or lead volume, conversion rate, cart abandonment, Core Web Vitals and load time, organic traffic and rankings, commission saved on direct bookings, staff hours saved by an internal tool. Every number is one the client can verify.

Will my project be turned into a case study?

Only with your written permission, and only in the form you approve. Some clients are happy to be named with full figures; some prefer to be described by sector and city without a name; some prefer nothing published at all. That choice is yours and it does not affect the price or the work.

How do you measure whether a project succeeded?

Against the commercial goal agreed at the start, not against vanity metrics. If the goal was more qualified enquiries, we measure qualified enquiries. If it was recovering booking commission, we measure commission recovered. The measurement is defined before the build, not chosen afterwards to flatter the result.

Proof lens

Every case study names the client, reports figures they approved, and cites technical evidence you can run yourself.

How we prove it

Proof you can check, not decoration

Most agency portfolios in Kenya are screenshots with no client name, no numbers and no way to verify anything. Every case study we publish is built to be checked.

  • The client, named

The business, its sector and its city, unless the client asked to be described without a name.

  • Measured against the goal

Enquiries, conversion, commission saved, staff hours saved, whatever the project was for, agreed before the build.

  • Technical evidence

Core Web Vitals, load time on a real mid-tier Android and Lighthouse scores, all checkable with PageSpeed Insights.

  • Signed off in writing

Nothing is published until the client approves the exact wording, and it comes down if they change their mind.
